SEASONAL FLU INFORMATION
Due to a high demand for the seasonal flu vaccine, Kaiser Permanente is experiencing a shortage of seasonal flu vaccine. It’s unlikely that manufacturers will make an additional supply. Members may be able to get a seasonal flu vaccination elsewhere in the community. Kaiser will reimburse members for the cost of outside seasonal flu vaccinations. They may contact Membership Services at 1-800-813-2000, option 4, for information on how and where to submit claims for reimbursement. We apologize for the inconvenience. For more prevention tips and information on the seasonal flu, visit www.kp.org/flu.
Regence BCBS members can receive a free seasonal flu shot by going to participating flu shot vendor or pharmacy. For more information on the Regence BCBS flu shot programs and participating providers, click here. Flu shots administered in a physician's office are subject to regular plan benefits. For more information, visit one or more of the following resources:
- Wash hands often. Use soap and warm water or a hand sanitizer.
- Cover coughs and sneezes. Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your upper sleeve, not your hands.
- Keep things clean. Disinfect counter tops, toys, and other frequently touched items.
- Take care of yourself. Keep up your resistance to infection by eating a healthy diet, getting plenty of rest, managing stress, and exercising regularly.
H1N1 INFORMATION

There are steps everyone can take to prepare. Keep a supply of food and medicines on hand in case you have to stay home, and practice good public health measures like frequent hand washing and staying home when sick.
Regence BCBS and Kaiser members will receive the H1N1 vaccination at no cost.
